A.      Express something happening at present

1.       What are you doing now?

2.       What is your friend doing at the moment?

3.       What are we doing at present?

4.       What is your teacher doing right now?

Example:

-                    Leo is explaining something to the students

-                   The teacher is guiding her students

-                   Daniel is playing attention to his teacher

-                   Gea is rading a poem in front of the class

-                  The students are doing a test

-                   The students are discussing their task.

 

If you want to express something happening at present, you may use present continuous tense. Study the following pattern and their examples.

a.       Affirmative sentence (kalimat positif)

I am reading a book

She/he/it is reading/raining now

You/we/they are reading a book right now

b.      Negative sentence (kalimat negatif)

   I am not reading a book

   She/he/it is not reading/raining now

   You/we/they are not reading a book right now

 

c.       Interrogative sentence (kalimat pertanyaan)

Am I reading a book ?

   Is She/he/it reading/rainin now ?

   Are You/we/they reading a book right now ?

 

B.      Express comparison

Gambar orang, tinggi, sedang, rendah.

Questions:

1.       Which person is the tallest?

2.       Is shinta shorten than wahyu?

3.       Is Shinta the smallest of all?
